We are three senior media professionals. Due to our strong professional network and a connection with the medical fraternity, insurance companies, hospital & diagnostic clinic authorities we often found ourselves being called upon by friends and family living outside Kolkata, to handle crisis faced by their parents and elders living alone in the city. The crises were varied and often gave us great satisfaction to be able to help resolve them. We realised that Kolkata needs a credible, well connected and well-equipped Eldercare Programme that aims to be the perfect blend of empathy and professionalism.
We have years of experience in establishing this connection of affection with elders from our community whenever they have needed assistance with issues pertaining to health and beyond. We are ourselves daughters with ageing parents and have often felt the need to get professional assistance when juggling with care giving and demanding careers.
